Rajkumar Hirani Confirms a Third “Munna Bhai” Film

Sanjay Dutt fans are currently waiting for his biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani titled “Sanju”. The film is featuring Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of the Sanjay Dutt. The trailer has already been released of the upcoming film and trust me it looks good. Many avatars of “Sanju baba” are revealed.

It seems however that the Sanjay Dutt fans are more excited to relive the story of their all-time favourite gangster MBBS—Munna Bhai  as, Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed the making of the third film, as reported by the Hindustan Times.

The journey began with “Munna Bhai MBBS” and went ahead with a second film “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”, which also had Vidya Balan. Both the films were not only a hit on box office but also made a huge impact on the audiences throughout the world.

Regarding the details of the film Hirani said that they were interested in making a third Munna Bhai film and have even written a lot of it, however, they were unable to match the script of the third one with the first two. As per the director he has finally found something, but it still has to be written.

He also confirmed that Dutt is most likely to take the lead role again along with his trusty—Circuit played by Arshad Warsi.

Rajkumar Hirani also added that they all were new and inexperienced at that time, while the “Munna Bhai MBBS” was being directed. He mentioned that they never thought that they are doing mainstream cinema. He said that he thought that he was making a different kind of cinema experience. The film captured a lot of affection and love from people far more than being commercially successful.

Hirani added that he was pleased that his family and friends watched it and loved it, and this was a joy in itself which is enough.

Hirani discredited any rumours regarding the film’s title being “Munna Bhai Chale America”.
